After reviewing completed questionnaires and interviewing candidates, members of the Eastern North Carolina Central Labor Council and the North Carolina State AFL-CIO, have voted to endorse Bryson Jones for North Carolina House District 79 in the May 8, 2018 Primary and Nov. 6, 2018 General Elections.
“The Eastern North Carolina Central Labor Council is proud to endorse Bryson Jones in the Primary and General elections, because Bryson understands what working people want -- to secure a fair return on our work, provide for ourselves and our families, and enjoy life,” said Anthony Cruz, President of the Eastern North Carolina Central Labor Council.
The Eastern North Carolina Central Labor Council affiliates commit to doing their part to educate and mobilize union members and their families in support of Bryson Jones.
Run for Something (RFS) is building off the successes of 2017 and announcing its first endorsements of 2018, along with our new strategic plan. These 61 candidates will be strong voices in the next generation of progressive leadership. In North Carolina, RFS is excited to endorse Candidate Bryson Jones for the North Carolina General Assembly, District 79.
“I am so honored to have the support of Run for Something on my journey to the General Assembly,” Jones said. “I am excited to work with the people of my community to make Beaufort and Craven counties a better place to work and live.”
“These first-time candidates all have the heart and hustle that is so important to us at RFS, and we are proud to give them our endorsement,” said Ross Morales Rocketto, co-founder of Run for Something. “Put simply, they are the type of people we think the Party needs and the type of candidates who are going to work hard. They are knocking on doors and stepping up to run grassroots, community-led campaigns.”
