Bryson K. Jones
Democratic candidate for the North Carolina House of Representatives, District 79.

Originally from Billings, Montana, Jones was born on Veterans Day in 1983, to a commercial plumbing estimator and therapist. He was a senior in high school when the tragic attacks of Sept. 11 transpired. Instead of going to college like most of his friends and peers, Jones opted instead to serve his country.

Jones medically separated as a Gunnery Sergeant after serving honorably for 14 years as a combat cameraman.
Jones' last duty station was Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havelock, North Carolina. He and his family loved Eastern North Carolina so much, they decided to settle here as their permanent home.
He married his wife, Brittany, in 2010. He is the father of four children, Gracy, Maverick, Lilly and Theodore.
Jones is an active member in his community and the Democratic Party. He has volunteered as a U10 Girls Soccer Coach with Coastal United and frequently volunteers at Bridgeton Elementary School. Additionally, since May 2017, he has served as the Precinct 20 Chairman and volunteers as a social media manager for the Craven County Democratic Party.
Jones is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on management at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.
